COMMUNITY PROGRAM
Youth Service Support Program
Supporting young people
A voluntary, family-centred program
The program is built around the young person and the people who support them. It is not a clinical or crisis service. Where a young person needs specialist or emergency support, the Wellbeing Team will make the appropriate referral.

The Youth Service Support Program offers short-term, strengths-based support to young people and their families. Over eight weeks, the Wellbeing Team works alongside each young person to strengthen their wellbeing, improve their engagement with education, and build the capacity of the family around them.
Participation is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time. Support is reviewed regularly so that goals remain relevant and achievable, and extensions are available over school holiday periods where they are needed.
This program is delivered as an initiative of Department of Communities and Justice as a funded program separate from Margaret Jurd College educational service. You can engage in this program even if you aren’t a student of MJC
