7th December 2023. Save the Date for our End of Year Celebration.

Tuesday 30th January 2024 is the first day of Term 1 for all our new students at MJC.

MJC welcomes back our returning students on Wednesday 31st January 2024.

Wednesday 21st February 2024 is a pupil free day at MJC. We hope to see all our students back on Thursday 22nd February 2024.

The "YAKKA- Introduction to Work Program" will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Years 9 through to Year 12, with a focus on students in year 10.

Surfs Up! Jaimie, Michelle & Keighan (with a little help from professional surfing instructors) will have our MJC students tail sliding and nose riding in no time!

Photographers from Newcastle School Photos will be onsite at MJC Shortland on Friday 30th May 2025.

Term 2 at MJC finishes up for all students on Friday 27th June 2025. We hope everyone enjoys a much deserved break.

Tuesday 5th August, MJC Shortland will hold its annual Ninja Parc / Sports Day at Genesis Health and Fitness. Multiple sports will be on offer including indoor soccer, netball, indoor cricket and the Ninja Parc dynamic obstacle courses. See Julie or your caseworker for further details and permission notes.

Senior boys will spend the day learning and developing interview skills and working on confidence outside of school. Students will each have a clear idea of how to respond to interview questions and how to present themselves to potential employers.
